Some of you have been following us from the beginning and some of you are just now jumping in. Which ever you may be, I would like to welcome you and say thank you for supporting our business. I would also like to take a moment of your time to share with you a little story about how I turned my "idea" into a business.
First off, I'm Brittany Smith, the founder of Inspired Help. In 2012/2013 I found myself up to my eyeballs in wedding planning, and DIY projects. If you were to take a look at our wedding photos, most of the things you would see would either be projects I created, had the idea for, or had someone else make for me. I distinctly remember two nights before my wedding day, I was on the floor of my new home with a piece of fabric that stretched from one corner of the house to the other and I was on my hands and knees gluing, painting, and making all the final touches on what soon would be my very own aisle runner. At that point I hadn't packed for my wedding day, let alone my Honeymoon it was about that time that one of my bridesmaids who was staying the night said, let me help you.
Fast forward the day before the wedding. I had all of my ideas for the day in my head and I was not prepared for how many questions would be asked during set up. I was so overwhelmed. I was so caught up with the designs, decorations, and coordinating everyone that I couldn't fully focus on what was truly important.
The wedding was beautiful, it was everything we wanted, and we had so much fun, I was utterly exhausted, but I did it! I planned, coordinated, and decorated my whole wedding. That got me thinking about the industry and I thought back to my sweet bridesmaid's offer of help.
I was a bride on a budget and I felt like in order to get everything I wanted I would have to do it myself. While in reality, what I really needed was someone to help me, someone I could trust to "be me" at my wedding so I could just be the Bride. So, that's when it all started. Not just with weddings, but with events. How many times do we as the host of and event find ourselves throwing a party, filling up food trays, while talking to guests and by the end of the event feel like we didn’t even get to enjoy our own event. Too many times people!
For those of us who have the ideas, decor, and the design, but just need "help". And HELP for those who have no clue what to do, where to start, and how to finish.
Thank you for your time & support,
