“Booking Melinda was possibly the best decision we made throughout our planning - we knew we wanted someone to help with day-of coordination, but we almost didn’t book a “planner” at all, and we are so glad we did. We had a sense of what we wanted from our wedding, but being based out of town (not to mention planning during COVID!) made meeting and vetting individual vendors hard, and Melinda’s help was a godsend. The day-of coordination alone (setting everything up, flipping the room, and breaking everything down at the end of the night) was worth every penny, but we honestly might have recouped her entire fee with all the discounts she was able to get us on rentals and stationery - like, are you kidding?! We booked a venue that was basically a blank slate, and when we started working with Melinda we had only booked them and the caterer - so there was a LOT to book and a ton of individual pieces to wrangle day-of. Melinda helped us find the rest of our vendors, review their contracts, and then seamlessly coordinated all of the drop-offs, set-up, breakdown and stage management day-of with just one helper, which was an unbelievable feat - we can’t really wrap our heads around how perfectly she understood and then basically single-handedly executed our vision. There are so many random little details we would have forgotten about (charging the polaroid camera we’d brought?!), and Melinda handled them all & made it look effortless so we could just be present and soak in the day. She kept us on schedule throughout the planning process and (very importantly!) on the day itself, and was a completely serene, calming presence through all of it. We are so grateful for everything and can’t imagine having done it without her help!”
