Hey hey! Melinda here! Owner of Inspired Help since 2020, but making magical wedding dreams happen since 2015 alongside Brittany Smith (Founder of Inspired Help). Since 2015, I’ve coordinated over 200 weddings, managed 2 different event venues in Nashville, and planned numerous non-wedding related events including the annual Cumberland River Dragon Boat Festival and TEDxNashville’s Society of Fellows Dinner!

I’ve often questioned why I enjoy weddings and events over the years. It certainly takes a certain type of personality to give up their nights and weekends to celebrate someone else’s big life moments while sometimes missing out on their own. A few years ago, while at a Preds game here in Nashville, I had the realization that that’s exactly why I love weddings and events. I have the opportunity to help create and witness memories that last a lifetime. A moment in time that will never be forgotten because it’s just that sweet, that special, that momentous of a moment. I’m entrusted for a brief moment of your life to share in a powerful, breathtaking moment you’ll never forget. Yes, this is my job. I get tired at the end of the night, my feet start to hurt, my back aches, but for a brief moment, I have the pleasure of witnessing your vulnerability, your joy, your laughter, your tears, and most importantly your love and acceptance of another human being. Your day is important to me, because it’s important to you. I want to be the load lifter on your wedding day, because you deserve this moment of feeling loved and cared for. We all do.
